One visa, two countries, and a whole lot of cricket!

Immigration Agent

Any cricket fans out there?

In February and March of next year, Australia and New Zealand will be hosting the ICC Cricket World Cup.

A Trans-Tasman arrangement has been made to allow overseas visitors holding an eligible temporary Australian visa, the ability to travel to New Zealand, without having to apply for a New Zealand visa. This arrangement will be in effect from 26 January to 5 April 2015.

Thanks to the government’s Advance Passenger Processing system, Immigration New Zealand will know if you hold an eligible Australian temporary visa, and will grant you a three month New Zealand visitor visa on your arrival.

Although this arrangement will allow international spectators of the World Cup to enjoy watching their teams compete in two countries, regardless of your interest in the sport, if you hold an eligible Australian temporary visa – you will receive the benefit of an automatic visitor visa if you travel to New Zealand!

And most importantly, C’mon Aussies C’mon!
